Hi everyone!!
2 New photo shoots on the horizon a wildlife "Seals at Donna Nook" ...Lincolnshire UK ...with Chris Weston in cold November brrrr!!! but I hope to return with a few doe eyed baby seal images ...don't they just melt your heart.......and apparently a chance to capture some surfing adolecence ..........( that'll be ME then ) I have only just uploaded my "BIG CAT" shoot images from last summer and if I say so myself they look pretty good. Also......... AFRICA!!! here I come a mad mad trip "A long Way Up" for me it is anyway 43 days overland trip Cape Town to Nairobi....through Namibia, Botswana, Victoria Falls, Zambia, Malawi, Zanzibar, Tanzania and Kenya where I am just putting together a 10 day safari a crazy crazy trip for someone with a back injury but hey what a challenge and what photo opportunities. So anyway the story goes can't make my mind up which area of Africa my son has a brilliant idea have you seen "Long Way Down" Ewan McGregor and Charly Boorman motorbike from John O'Groats to Cape Town ....well no as I've hardly seen any TV in the last few years ....So I order the DVD and in 2 days it arrives in Spain I sit up half the night and pretty soon I've watched all 10 episodes brilliant viewing. But sadly choosing was even harder so only one thing for it A South East Explorer trip and before I knew it I had paid for my BA flight and a deposit to Africa in Focus ........they have agreed I can take a fold up camp bed so when others are sitting around the camp fire in the evening I can do my usual laying down but it'll be the African sky above me not a ceiling or to be truthful its normally a laptop screen......So watch this space 22nd April until 17th June .....I might even create a blog ....I will also be able to say I've travelled North ( Morocco) ......South ( Cape Town ) .....East ( Kenya/Tanzania ) ......West ( Mauratania ) of Africa Just Returned from my month long Caribbean trip to .... Cuba / Barbados / St Lucia / Jamaica I am really excited with the images I have........ I managed to capture some great candid shots and unique social viewpoints from these fascinating Islands and of course some stunning scenery with amazing sunsets. 8000 photos to sort but I am uploading a selection now so look out for them

Latest Galleries ....Granada Alhambra/Cuba/Jamaica/St Lucia/Barbados (All in progress) just finishing "St Lucia Jazz Festival" finished "Valencia" 5 categories inc Crema (the Burning) of the Fallas "Paris" 8 categories and still working on Thailand already finished "Hilltribes" and in between working on the 12 galleries for Spain .....And I've started adding to BUGS Spiders Ladybirds etc .....Busy! Busy! Busy! I've also finished uploading 8 Morocco categories and really pleased with the results....London (this gallery will be added to throughout the year ) and Amsterdam too I have created links back to my old website the new url www.kathrynharrisonphotography.com ....AS it will still take quite a while to upload those images here so my decision is to work with latest first and work back (I know I'm a crazy woman) but the logic there is that very soon I'll reach a point where my old website meets new and then it will just be a process of transferring those although some have already migrated and will probably continue to do so. Poor Thailand and they are so good too I was just about to process them when I had this notion to upgrade so perhaps I'll filter a few of those through as a taster ...........I have a bit of a butterfly brain it takes a time to settle on the job in hand. So I'm going to tackle them next. Last year I made trips to Paris at Valentines .....cold but beautifully crisp clear days and some romantic pics for good measure already on the old site . Next I did 2 cities in one trip Barcelona and Madrid really pleased with the great images I shot. Madrid was a second visit on the first I spent 3 days in the rain lovely night shots with reflections but needed to return and it took 2 years but finally I always try to fulfill a promise even those to myself. Oh silly me forgot before that I'd visited the Wildlife Heritage Foundation in Kent with Chris Weston respected wildlife photographer ......definately respected by me when trying to capture moving or sleeping animals in a crouch position eye level but oooh bad for my back injury still no pain no gain and I think I actuall managed to capture some reasonable shots and I hope to return to wait it out for a real peach!!! Next it was Morocco .....a much awaited trip and it didn't disappoint, such a fantastic country colourful mystical and I'm sure not my last trip. I've written a piece in facts link above Directly after Morocco I stayed a few days in Granada its been on my wish list a few years and finally .......OH! how wonderful just wait till you see my images you'll just have to go I stayed in the Plaza Nueva the hub of the city and a short bus ride to the Alhambra entrance. And then earlier this year I visited 4 Caribbean Islands in 4 Weeks it will take a while to upload them all but I have given you a taster in all 4 Galleries Other pics to be added soon Autumn in Essex .....and some absolutely wonderful sunsets and sunrises from Spain.
